It's all about balance. Teaching. Learning. Life.

Same goes for technology.

I've learned about exciting ways to incorporate engagement through technology using the SAMR model while also understanding that it shouldn't be a constant in your class. Having a balance between technology and face to face learning is important to students' academic and personal growth.

One thing that I do want to tell my future self is: don't be shy! Try out "funky" technology because being creative gives students the chance to be creative as well. Creativity is good for the brain.

I want to learn from mistakes which is something that I want to role model for my students. At the beginning of this class, we all decided that we wanted to be supportive through failure. I agree. I'm going to make that a key part in my teaching style.

Overall, I did step up my game with technology in EDUC331, but I also walked away with a good idea of classroom management. My teacher Tracey Winey was extraordinarily effective at managing time, keeping people on task, and hearing everyone's voices. It was a good reminder that I will need to provide clear structure while making time for relationship building.
